So firstly we identified a planting partner who not only PLANTS the trees but also NURTURES them for 2-3 years. This is quite rare in the tree planting space where many planting providers simply 'plant and forget' and the next year survival rates are not especially high.

With the planting partner we've selected the SURVIVAL RATE of the tree is exceptionally high, and they re-plant if required for the agreed nurturing duration.

The caveat - they only accept fiat! So our DAO receives the crypto and converts it to fiat, then pays out to the planting partner. This is handled via a trusted third party.

Compliance, legal process and other such have substantial costs. In case of most non-profits the administrative costs consume 40-50% of the donations.

We are not into this for the profit and would prefer to make a larger end impact. A DAO offers the right balance where we can get the work done and administratative/legal costs are kept low.

Current server costs, technical costs and operational costs are borne entirely by us.
